The vast majority of people seem to think they need a “way out.” A way out of poverty. A way out of relationships. A thing, situation, or location that is different than what they have now.
Many people think more money will give them a way out of the stress and worry about being secure. Others think that literally moving from geographic location to another will alleviate their stress and dis-ease living where they do now.
In practically every situation with every human being there is an occasional or constant need for a way out. A better thing that’s around the corner. If only I got that money. If only I could leave and never come back.
And none of that will help. In fact, whatever you have on your list of things to do to get out, get away from, or leave behind, isn’t going to work.
The way out is not literally outside of you or your location. The way out is within.
When you finally get that break and you get some money or you get to move, guess what comes with you? Yep. You are stuck with YOU no matter what you do, where you go, or how much money you have.
You’ll just be richer and miserable. Or you’ll be miserable in a different place. The view might be better, but you won’t enjoy it when you realize you brought your miserable self to the party.
Getting an opportunity, money, or a new location won’t do anything at all to change how you feel. More accurately, they won’t change how you are currently allowing yourself to feel.
The problem isn’t where you live or a lack of money. People live in crappy places with no money at all ON PURPOSE. And they THRIVE. Many others live in yucky locations and have no money and are the happiest people you’ll ever meet. They have to be. The likelihood of them ever experiencing a different financial situation or living in another location is slim to none. If they are ever going to be happy in their entire lives, they know they have to do it now, where they are, poor as they are, or they’ll never know happiness.
Thinking you have options outside of death or Going In is giving yourself false hope. You are setting up for extreme buyer’s remorse.
Making yourself happy by default through meditation and gratitude and positivity, no matter where you are or how much money you have, is the way to fix the root cause of dis-ease and unhappiness.
THEN apply more money or different scenery and just watch yourself THRIVE!
